Q: What do the powerups do? How should I use them?
A: AUTOBLASTER (green square) Ð the Autoblaster turns on the current track, blasts all the notes in the current phrase, and gives you points for those notes. In Multiplayer Game mode you can use Autoblaster to activate a track controlled by another player, stealing their phrase. For solo mode, the best strategy for Autoblaster is to use it whenever you miss a note, as a way to keep your streak going. Just don't waste this on a blank track. SCORE DOUBLER (yellow star) Ð deploy this during a phrase to double the points you'll gain for it. It's best to use the Score Doubler at the end of a phrase and while you've got a x8 score multiplier going. This will ensure that you get double the phrase and as many points as possible. Remember, you can't deploy one score double on top of another. SLO MO (purple box) Ð use this to slow down time, making hard passages easier to hit. Keep in mind Ð Slo Mo runs out three bars after you deploy it. Using it at unexpected times during multiplayer can throw your opponent off for a moment. BUMPER (red pentagon) Ð A multiplayer only powerup. Use the Bumper to snag a track from your opponent. A good Bumper strategy is to use it for keeping power-ups out of your opponent's hands. CRIPPLER (orange crescent) Ð A multiplayer only powerup. Deploy the Crippler on your opponent's track to unleash a storm of sonic ripples that makes things temporarily chaotic for your opponent.

Q: What does the Freestyler power-up do? Do you get points?
A: The Freestyler (blue pyramid) is a unique power-up which lets you soar above the track and use your controller to create synthesized. When you deploy the Freestyler, you need to press and hold either the left, middle, or right note buttons to freestyle. Don't hold more than one note down at a time Ð this will take you out of freestyle mode. The longer you hold a button down, the more points you get. If you move the Left Analog Stick, you can adjust the sonic qualities of the Freestyler. Also, if you are Freestyling a song with an Axe track, you can press down on the Right Analog Stick (R3 Button) to trigger samples. The amount of points you get varies depending on skill level, streak multiplier, etc.

Q: I can't beat the drum tracks in Dieselboy! What should I do?
A: The song "Dieselboy" in the Blastlands level has some pretty killer drums. Remember that practice mode is the best way to get past a song that has you stuck.

Q: Are there any codes for Amplitude?
A: Yup (note that none of the button combinations are simultaneous and these are for the US release of the game only)
